STARLING tamarind is a preparation for an instant drink: granules that dissolve in hot or cold water and give a sweet, tamarind-flavoured drink, with a little black tea extract. 400 g jar.
This is not a tea to steep
Nothing to steep or strain: the granules dissolve. Sugar and dextrose are the first two ingredients; black tea extract makes up 1% and tamarind extract 0.2%. To prepare a real tamarind juice, you need tamarind paste, which is mixed into hot water and then strained.
How to prepare it?
Use about five teaspoons of granules, that is 20 g, for a 200 ml cup of water, hot or cold, and stir until dissolved. Serve hot in winter, with ice cubes in summer. Adjust the amount to your taste: the drink is already sweet.
The other STARLING flavours
The range also comes in bissap, bissap and ginger and ginger. Everything is in the teas and infusions range.
