LEGUMOR rice flour is a fine flour obtained by grinding rice, with no other ingredient, sold in a 1 kg bag. It is used for baking, to thicken sauces and porridges, or to coat food before frying.
What is rice flour?
Rice flour is obtained by grinding rice into a fine, white powder with a neutral taste. Rice is not among the cereals that contain gluten, but the label on this bag carries the wording “may contain traces of barley”: it is therefore best to avoid this product in case of a strict gluten intolerance, unless confirmed otherwise on the packaging received.
How to use it?
Add rice flour to your pancake, cake, bread and biscuit batters for a light texture, or use it as a thickener for sauces and porridges. It is also used to coat food before frying, for a crispy texture. For baking, combine it with other flours such as corn flour or cassava flour.
What to pair it with?
With RACINES foufou, cassava flour for fufu, or NUMBER ONE niébé flour. The recipe for Togolese abolo uses it in particular. Find other flours in exotic flours and starches.
