ESPIG barbecue seasoning is a blend of dried aromatic plants, rosemary, black pepper, basil, parsley, cloves, bay leaf, nutmeg, marjoram, savory and thyme, to season grilled meats. 100 g bag.
What is ESPIG barbecue seasoning?
This bag brings together ten dried herbs and spices: rosemary, black pepper, basil, parsley, cloves, bay leaf, nutmeg, marjoram, savory and thyme. It is a herb blend close to herbes de Provence, with no chilli or smoked paprika. The ESPIG brand, from the CEPASCO group founded in 1876 and based in Gémenos since 1992, also sells a different "smoked BBQ" blend, based on smoked pepper and chilli, packaged in 220 g: this is not the product sold here.
How to use it?
Sprinkle the blend over meats, skewers or fish before cooking on the barbecue or in the oven, or mix it into a marinade with a drizzle of oil. It also flavours roasted vegetables and baked potatoes. One teaspoon is enough to season 500 g of meat.
What to pair it with?
With CATALEYA kankan or SAMIA barbecue spices to vary your grilling. The recipe for Kenyan nyama choma is on the blog. The full range is in the African and Caribbean spices and condiments range.
