SAMIA dried coriander leaves are 100% leaves, grown in Egypt. Their fresh, lemony aroma lifts dishes at the end of cooking. 30 g pouch.
What are coriander leaves?
Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) is an aromatic plant sometimes called Arabic parsley or cilantro, depending on the country. Its dried leaves concentrate a herbaceous, lemony aroma, more subtle than the fresh leaf but convenient to keep. The SAMIA version is 100% coriander leaves, with no other ingredient, and its label states an origin of Egypt.
How to use it
Add the dried coriander at the end of cooking or just before serving, to preserve its aroma: in a tagine, a harira, a chorba, a couscous, a tomato sauce or a marinade. It also flavours carrot or chickpea salads. A pinch rehydrated in the broth is enough to lift a whole simmered dish.
What to pair it with
For a warmer, spicier profile, pair it with SAMIA ground coriander, made from the seeds of the same plant. It features in the NKOSI blog's tagine recipe, and appears throughout the Moroccan and Maghreb cuisine range. In the same range: HOUSE OF SPICED ground coriander.
