JUMBO smoked shrimp stock is a dehydrated powder seasoning, with smoked crayfish and shrimp flavour, halal. The 1 kg tub makes up to 50 litres of reconstituted stock, to flavour sauces, rice and soups of African cuisine.
What is JUMBO smoked shrimp stock?
This is not a cube, but a dehydrated powder packed in a tub. The packaging carries the names "Crayfish Flavour Stock" in English and "Bouillon Saveur Écrevisse" in French, in a smoked version. In the recipe, the ingredient used is shrimp (2%), as is common practice for this category of stock sold under the name "crayfish" in African shops. The JUMBO brand belongs to the GBfoods group, present in Africa for more than 40 years; the product is distributed in France by Haudecœur.
How to use it?
Add a small amount while cooking to leaf sauces, gumbo soups, rice and fish or seafood stews, then taste before adding more salt: the product already contains 52.8 g of salt per 100 g. It can also be diluted in hot water to make a stock base.
What to pair it with?
Complete it with JUMBO Aroma stock, JUMBO beef stock or NUMBER ONE dried smoked shrimp powder for a stronger flavour. A recipe for inspiration: Senegalese lalo sauce. The whole spices and condiments section.
