SAMIA rose flavouring, sold as rose water, is used to scent oriental pastries: baklava, gazelle horns, loukoums, syrups, rice pudding, as well as fruit salads and drinks. 50 cl bottle.
Flavouring or distilled rose water?
It is a flavouring: the label states "water, rose flavouring". It is not a hydrosol, the water collected after distilling rose petals, which is a more delicate and more expensive product. The flavouring has a more direct scent and holds up well to cooking; it is measured by the spoonful.
How to use it?
A few spoonfuls in a baklava syrup, a cake batter, a rice pudding, a cream, a fruit salad or a lemonade. The rose scent quickly takes over: pour it in gradually and taste as you go. Once the bottle is opened, keep it in the refrigerator and use it within three months.
What to pair it with?
With SAMIA orange blossom flavouring, green cardamom and golden sesame. The Moroccan and Maghrebi cuisine section brings these products together.
