What are APOLLO vegetable noodles?
APOLLO is a brand of instant noodles made by T&T International Foods, in Pointe-aux-Sables (Mauritius), since 1980: the first company to produce instant noodles on the island. The brand, also locally called “Mine Apollo” (“mine” means noodles in Mauritian Creole), is exported across the Indian Ocean, in East and Southern Africa, in France, the United Kingdom and Ireland. This sachet, vegetable flavour, is seasoned with shallot, chives, cabbage and pepper: its ingredient list contains no meat or fish, and it is not accompanied by a separate chilli sachet, unlike the shrimp and chicken flavours from the same brand.
How to use it?
Add the noodles to two cups (about 40 cl) of boiling water and cook for 3 minutes. Add the seasoning sachet, stir, and it’s ready: enjoy as a soup, with the flavoured broth. You can also drain them and fry them in a pan or wok, stir-fried noodle-style, with fresh cut vegetables (carrot, cabbage, onion), tofu or an egg.
What to pair it with?
