APOLLO chicken noodles are instant wheat noodles made in Mauritius, flavoured with a chicken-flavour seasoning sachet. They are ready in 3 minutes in boiling water. 85 g bag.
What are APOLLO chicken noodles?
APOLLO is a brand of instant noodles made by T&T International Foods, in Pointe-aux-Sables (Mauritius), since 1980: the first company to produce instant noodles on the island. The brand, also locally called “Mine Apollo” (“mine” means noodles in Mauritian Creole), is exported across the Indian Ocean, in East and Southern Africa, in France, the United Kingdom and Ireland, and is also found in Madagascar. This sachet, chicken flavour, does not contain any real chicken pieces: the taste comes from the chicken flavouring in the seasoning sachet, alongside a chilli sachet for those who like it spicy.
How to use it?
Add the noodles to two cups (about 40 cl) of boiling water and cook for 3 minutes. Add the seasoning sachet (and the chilli sachet if you like it spicy), stir, and it’s ready: enjoy as a soup, with the broth. You can also drain them and fry them in a pan or wok, stir-fried noodle-style, with sliced chicken, an egg or crunchy vegetables.
What to pair it with?
Complete with APOLLO shrimp noodles or APOLLO vegetable noodles to vary the flavours, or with JUMBO chicken stock for a stronger broth. The NKOSI exotic grocery completes the pantry.
