What is this infusion?
Mate, or Ilex paraguariensis, is a South American plant whose dried leaves are traditionally infused; it forms the base of this blend, as stated on the packaging. The blend also contains rosehip and a natural flavouring, with no full agreement on the complete detail of the proportions across the available labels: check the ingredient list on the label of the product received. This preparation is marketed by PROPHYTAMINE, an organic brand of the RACINES SA group, in Montpellier.
How to use it?
Place a bag in a cup, pour in gently simmering hot water and leave to infuse for 3 to 5 minutes, then remove the bag. Enjoy it plain.
