The RACINES African baobab infusion is a herbal tea made of granulated baobab fruit pulp and apple, in freshness bags. RACINES is the name of the brand: this infusion contains no baobab root, only fruit pulp. 40 g box, 25 bags.
What is this infusion?
The baobab (Adansonia digitata) is an emblematic tree of West Africa, whose fruit is called bouye in Wolof or pain de singe in French. This RACINES infusion is made of 50% granulated baobab fruit pulp extract, complemented with apple and a flavouring. It contains neither leaves nor roots of baobab: "RACINES" refers only to the French brand that makes it, not a part of the plant.
How to prepare it?
Pour gently simmering water over a bag and leave to infuse for 3 to 5 minutes. Enjoy it hot, or let it cool and serve over ice cubes for a refreshing drink. A little honey or lemon goes well with its tangy notes; it also pairs well with a ginger infusion.
What to pair it with?
It pairs with the RACINES African ginger infusion for more character, or with RACINES organic kinkeliba to vary your African herbal teas. The whole range is in the African teas and infusions collection.
