STARLING bissap is an instant hibiscus drink preparation: granules that dissolve in hot or cold water. In a few seconds, you get a red, sweet and tangy drink, with a bissap taste. 400 g jar.
Bissap tea or infusion?
Strictly speaking, neither. This product contains neither tea leaves nor flowers to steep: these are soluble granules, made from sugar and dextrose, flavoured with hibiscus extract (1.3%) and rosehip extract (1.1%). There is nothing to strain, and it does not contain theine. To prepare a traditional bissap with dried flowers, choose instead the TANTIE whole red bissap or the RACINES bissap infusion in bags.
How to prepare it?
Pour the granules into a glass or a cup, according to the dose stated on the jar, add hot or cold water and stir until dissolved. Serve hot in winter, well chilled with ice cubes in summer. Adjust the amount of granules to taste: the drink is already sweetened.
Other STARLING flavours
The same range is also available in bissap and ginger and bissap and mint. All the hibiscus in the shop is gathered in the bissap and hibiscus flowers section, and hibiscus drink recipes are on the blog.
